News from the Healthwatch Wandsworth Assembly - 27 September 2017

We covered many things at our Assembly in September including our local health and wellbeing hub resource, making the most of a GP appointment and how St George's Hospital understands patient experience. More information is available in our report.

At our last Assembly on the 27 September our agenda was packed full of good things that got the conversation flowing nicely and provided information about using our local health services.

Key topics covered

  • We looked at how to better take charge of our health via self-management courses and the Wellbeing Hub.
  • We also looked at how to make the most of time spent with our GP, which is becoming more of an issue as Doctors are pressured to spend less time with us and meet a greater number of targets.
  • Finally we took a look at exactly what we should expect from care at St George's hospital and how to provide feedback if things go wrong.

If you haven't already, take a look at the Wandsworth Wellbeing Hub which is a local one stop shop for information about health and care support locally.
