Spending the Wandsworth Local Fund - Your Opinion Counts
The Wandsworth Local Fund (WLF) is a charge the council issues on liable developments to fund community and social infrastructure needed to support growth within the borough. To date over £7.2 million has been invested in projects to benefit the community.
A key purpose of the WLF is to address the demands that development places on an area, and this requires significant investment. In 2014 Wandsworth residents were asked what their priorities were for their local area, and the feedback was used as a guide when funding schemes and projects. To date, the Wandsworth Local Fund has been used to finance a variety of schemes, including upgraded play areas or streetscape improvements, and other social infrastructure like the provision of community facilities. The attached report contains examples of some of the projects that have been funded in Wandsworth, and some of the projects that are coming up soon.
A consultation was recently launched to find out what Wandsworth residents would like the money to be spent on over the next 5 years. If you would like to Have Your Say, please click here to take part.
The attached documents provide more information on the WLF and how you can help influence how that money is spent locally. The consultation will close on the 30th June.
