For better health and social care

Healthwatch Network's Top Priorities for 2019

Our work is shaped by the concerns that local people raise with us. Our analysis of your feedback helped us to set our top priorities for 2019.

Based on feedback from over 400,000 people on their experiences of care, our top five priorities for this year are:

  1. Primary care (including access to GPs)
  2. Children and young people
  3. Mental health
  4. Services working better together
  5. Adult social care, including residential care homes or care at home

Sir Robert Francis, Chair of Healthwatch England says, "Taking the time to listen to people’s experiences of care and what they want to see done differently is enlightening and often generates a range of practical solutions that can help services better meet the demands being placed on them."

More information on our priorities for 2019 and on what we plan to do to meet them can be found on the attached press release, or visit the Healthwatch England website.
