Become a Patient & Public Involvement Advisor for Battersea Healthcare
Battersea Healthcare is a community interest company and social enterprise set up to provide quality healthcare for the people of Wandsworth.
They would like to recruit a PPI Advisor to help them make sure that patients and Wandsworth residents are a part of the decisions they make. You will be a part of their main Board and will also join their PPI committee to offer your thoughts and views representing the patients and residents of Wandsworth. The role does not require you to have a clinical background, but you must have an interest in how healthcare services are provided in the area, both now and in the future.
The time commitment is likely to be 8 to 12 hours a month for a minimum of one year. The monthly Board meeting lasts for three hours and the PPI committee (every three months) lasts for two hours. There are papers that you will need to read before the meetings and you may be asked to go to Wandsworth PPI locality meetings or to assist with different projects every so often. The sucessful candidate will be remunerated for their time.
