About this event

Healthwatch Wandsworth, Katherine Low Settlement, Age UK Wandsworth and Wandsworth Council have teamed up and are working with lots of organisations to try and answer this question on November 1st at the Gwynneth Morgan Day Centre 10:45-13:15.

If you live in Wandsworth and are living with sight loss or have recently been diagnosed, we would like to invite you to the first of two workshops if you want to know about how technology could help you manage day-to-day life and be tailored to your needs.

The aim of this event is to look at some existing technical solutions. For example, the Sensory Impairment Team and Alcove will be showing how they can help with things like Amazon Echoes that can help with reminders, smart doorbells, smart plugs, and smart devices which can help automate routines.

Abilitynet will also attend to talk about their free online resources and a network of over 300 community-based volunteers who help individuals with any disability, of any age, to use all kinds of digital technology.

To attend please call to book your free place on 020 8877 8947 or email outreach@ageukwandsworth.org.uk.
