For better health and social care

Grassroots Engagement Funding 2018

Would you like to hold a fun event or activity for your local group or community?

Wandsworth Care Alliance (WCA) is offering funding to local grassroots organisations and groups to run one-off activities or events that are enjoyable to their local community. A maximum of £750 per event is available and the funding must make up at least 50% of the activity/event expenditure.

WCA is keen to encourage people who do not normally get the chance to express their views about local services to apply for this funding. NHS staff will attend these events/activities and spend part of the time talking to attendees about their experience of using local health services. The activity or event should be enjoyable to local people and provide an opportunity for them to speak with the local NHS. Examples include a tea dance, pottery class, pizza, a movie afternoon, or some kind of cultural activity.

Who can apply?
Local groups and voluntary sector organisations that work with, or support, the community in Wandsworth at grassroots level. Examples include community and self-help groups, charities and social enterprises.
